Welcome!

I have created this space to share nutrition and wellness information that will empower people to take charge of their health and improve their lives. I believe that our natural state is one of health and balance and that we all have the ability to get back to this and live full healthy lives.

There are so many things we can do to create wellness in our lives including eating well, getting good sleep, getting sunlight, being in nature, moving our bodies, having a sense of community, and more. Providing our bodies with the nutrients they need to function at their best is critical to health and wellness. When our bodies are running smoothly, everything else is easier. What we put into our bodies has a significant effect on not only how we feel on a daily basis, but also our resistance to disease and even our longevity. In a world where we are bombarded by advertising campaigns for food and drugs, where there is a pill for every ill, where every day there is a new diet promising the moon, it feels difficult to know where to start and what to do to achieve a state of wellbeing. In this blog, I will provide a range of nutrition and health topics to help make the path to wellness a bit clearer. Here you will find information on:

Education allows us to make better informed decisions. “What you don’t know won’t hurt you” is like the proverbial ostrich with its head in the sand. What you don’t know about the food you are eating can most certainly hurt you. We should know what is in the food we are eating so we can make conscious decisions about what we are putting in our bodies and what we are feeding our children.

What we eat matters. What we feed our children matters. The seemingly simple choices of what we eat each day and what we put in our grocery carts are significant decisions that can have far reaching effects on our health. I aim to shine a light on what is in our food so we can make educated choices about our health and the health of all we care for. We have these amazing bodies that want to be in a state of balance. It’s our job to provide these bodies with the nutrients they need to optimally perform the myriad of functions that sustain this natural state of balance and health.  I also want to share insights into the many other things we can do beyond nutrition that help create wellness in our lives.

I hope the information I share here will inspire you to take your health into your own hands and know that you can create wellness in your life. Making intentional decisions about the things you do and don’t do and the foods you eat and don’t eat has a direct impact on the quality of your life. I also hope that you will share what you learn with others to help them create healthier lives as well.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you will visit my blog frequently to see my latest posts, get some great health tips, and find some delicious recipes. Here’s to taking your wellness into your own hands so you can make healthy choices for you and your family!

Thank you for inspirational formation on nutrition. At 65 when I feed my family it’s all healthy food but when by myself I grab unhealthy easy food on the go!
