This steamy drink is a perfect pick me up on cool afternoons. The matcha provides caffeine without the jitters coffee might create. Matcha green tea is renowned for its health benefits. Catechins such as ECGC found in matcha are antioxidants which protect cells from free radical damage and help with cholesterol, while the L-theanine in matcha helps with focus, alertness, and relaxation. Both matcha and chia seeds provide fiber which promotes healthy digestion and a healthy gut microbiome. Plus chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. The honey not only provides a little natural sweetness, but also more antioxidants and immune boosting phytonutrients. Use a high quality alternative milk to maximize the health benefits.
